Cuba Libre Restaurant

Orlando, Florida - Review Experience

Dedicated to a continued exploration to Cuban heritage.

Cuba Libre is one of many restaurants located at The Pointe Orlando, a unique outdoor shopping mall featuring many diverse attractions. The restaurant doubles as a rum bar, and is dedicated to a continued exploration of all things pertaining to Cuban heritage – including music, food, flavors, art, dance, and tradition. Make your next night out or date night something both fun and culturally educational by visiting Cuba Libre.

Food

The food served at Cuba Libre is inspired by that of various Latin regions, with a primary focus on that of Cuba. You can choose for your supper to consist of malanga fritters, tostones, yucca fries, Cuban sandwich spring rolls, barrio chino chicken wings, steamed mussels, guava BBQ ribs, arepa rellena, or another cultural dish. There are an extraordinary amount of options,  so even  the pickiest of eaters should be able to find something they'll like.

There is also a unique dining option called the 15 tastes of Cuba, which allows you to test out a wide variety of Cuban foods for the low price of $39.95 per person. This includes shrimp ceviche, papas rellenas, malanga fritters, Mama Amelia’s empanada de la casa, and marigutas cubanas as appetizers. For entrees, there is churrasco a la cubana, mahi-mahi, and mango mojito shrimp. These can be paired with white rice and Cuban black beans, or maduros. For dessert, you are able to choose any two miniature sized dessert dishes to sample.

Desserts include a wide selection of ever-changing mini desserts. Much of the dessert is comprised of varying after-supper drinks. These include coffee, tea, coffee cocktails, port, rum, wine, sherry, and martinis.

Entertainment/Night Life

Be entertained while you eat! There are two different sections, with the entertainment varying based on which room you decide to dine in. The main room features a variety of traditional  dancers, performing the salsa, bachata, meringue, Latin house, and freestyle. There are also singers, and DJs. The Gloss Ultra Lounge, located on the second floor, features the sultry Gloss Go-Go Dancers and a DJ spinning house music, hits from the top 40, and plenty of party anthems.

Caippy Hour

Caippy Hour happens seven days a week, from five until seven in the evening. There are a ton of specials which run during these two hours, which makes it a fantastic option for those who are budget conscious. A few of these specials include:

  • Picadas Sampler  - choose any six for just $25
  • $5 Caipirinhas
  • $4 House Wine & Sangria
  • $4 Domestic Beer
