Experience Authentic German Cuisine at Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe

Orlando, Florida - Review Experience

Eat, Drink and Be Merry!

No matter when you visit, chances are Hollerback’s Willow Tree Café will be packed, but that is not a bad thing. This simply adds to the charm and ambiance of the location. The restaurant has won a number of accolades for its delicious German food.

While the location appears to be open and large, it is actually divided into three different sections, which does not include the new outdoor patio area that offers a significant amount of seating. The original part of the restaurant is still in the center of the location and has maintained the original white and black flooring. However, as the popularity grew, the Hollerbach’s purchased space in the adjacent storefronts and opened a bar, market and deli.

When you decide to dine at Willow Tree, you will feel as though you are in the middle of the Oktoberfest beer tents that are in Munich. You will be surrounded by a boisterous and loud crowd and the music offers a constant beer. The main difference between being in Munich and visiting Willow Tree is the superior food that is offered just a few miles North of Orlando.

When you are seated, it is a must to try one of the signature German dishes, potato pancakes. These are served with three, ½ inch cakes per plate with applesauce and sour cream. The pancakes are firm, textured and meaty with a significant amount of grated potatoes and just a small amount of filler and then pan fired to perfection.

The entrees offer you all the great Greek classics, and the servings are large so you may want to share with someone else at your table.

Not only can you experience the best German food when you visit Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café, you will also have a meal that is extremely budget friendly. You can eat a number of authentic German entrees, such as Eisbein to Sauerbrate – the choice is yours. The restaurant also offers a large selection of drinks including over 50 German wines and beers, which go a long way to enhancing your experience.

To top off all the great food and drink, you will enjoy live German music that includes a fun rendition of “The Chicken Dance.”

Each meal and visit will be saluted with an authentic salute to your well-being and health, topping off that real German experience.

The Hollerbach Willow Tree Café is located at 205 East 1st Street and is open during lunch and dinner hours every Tuesday through Sunday.
