Find The Odd And Exciting At Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Orlando

Orlando, Florida - Review Experience

Can you believe it – or not?

The “Odditorium,” which is what the Ripley’s Believe It or Not Facility is referred to, is an amazing 10,000 square feet, which appears to be sinking into a Florida sink hole. There are literally hundreds of interactive and outrageous exhibits that will be sure to entertain and delight your entire family. You can explore a wide array of artifacts and displays in a total of 16 different galleries that are all unique and in some way pay tribute to everything that is strange and odd in the world.

You can experience this incredible location on your own self-paced and self-guided tour, which allows you to fully enjoy everything that this bizarre attraction has to offer Orlando guests.

When you arrive at Ripley’s Believe It or Not, you will be met by the sign that describes the how and why the building appears to be sitting in a sink hole. Upon entering the front door, you will be met by an image of Mr. Ripley himself – a ghostly image. If you grew up watching the Ripley’s Believe it or Not TV show, chances are you will be excited to get started. However, even if your kids are unfamiliar the exciting exhibits will have them enthralled and excited to explore the building.

In addition to a descriptive sign next to each display, there are also a number of hands on exhibits to keep the youngest visitors entertained and happy. The majority of the hands on displays are focused on learning about things such as optical illusions and traveling sound – fun and educational; doesn’t get much better!

Some of the exhibits you will see include a bug car where you can play music, a portrait of Abe Lincoln made entirely of pennies and a replica of “The Last Supper” that was created completely from dryer lint – talk about amazing!

There are seemingly endless things to do and see during your visit. There is also a small section with all of the scary and freaky items that should probably be left to the older kids and adults. Being able to look at all the attractions at your own pace, is one of the best parts, as it gives you time to spend as much or as little time experiencing certain exhibits.

Some of the key exhibits that you will definitely want to check out during your visit include an actual, real and authentic human shrunken head; extraordinary wax figures; authenticated dinosaur eggs and a dinosaur skull, a tribute to the Tallest Man in the World Robert Wadlow; both animal and human oddities; unusual artwork, a 10 foot section of the Berlin Wall, an interactive Illusions gallery and a shooting gallery.

This is the perfect activity for a morning or afternoon and you can top off your visit by picking up a memento at the on-site gift shop.
