Orlando Top Ten
The day PioPio decides to offer a franchise of their restaurants, is the day the owners make it big. This place is packed during lunch time, where locals drive from everywhere during their lunch break to eat a good home cooked meal. It's a great break from the usual cardboard meat that you can find on most chain restaurants. And please, try their rotisserie chicken it melts in your mouth.
2 Yellow Dog Eats Cafe
Located in Windermere, this gem of a place really unique and funky. The place is famous with the locals for it's awesome sandwiches. If your in town, it's worth checking out, even though it's a little tricky to find.
Great location (Winter Park), great food, and great service. This Brazilian steakhouse is as good as it gets with it's churrascaria style eatery. It's a cozy place that gets real personal with their customers. One aspect that I believe Texas de Brazil misses.
Another churrascaria made the list. Texas de Brazil has a magnificent buffet and the place is very elegant. Make sure you join their newsletter list as they send you great deals and discounts from time to time especially on your birthday and anniversaries.
5 Charleys Steakhouse
Some people consider Charley's Steakhouse the best place to go if you want the best steak in Orlando. With prime cuts of three-year-old grain-fed beef it is hard to argue. Steaks are aged minimum of four to six weeks. Don't kid yourself though, the price on the menu just comes the steak, mashed potatoes is extra.
6 Victoria and Alberts
Victoria and Alberts does have a special place in my heart. It's where i proposed to my wife. Located inside the Grand Floridian Resort (2nd floor), which is beautiful by the way, this 5 course meal restaurant is truly awesome. There is a dress code, jackets for men (ties are optional) and 'dinner attire' for women.
I'm usually not a fan of chain restaurants, but Brios food is really good. Their beef carpachio and wood fire chicken makes me want to go there for lunch today as I write this. There is one inside the millenia mall, ask to sit outside the restaurant and you can people watch coming in to the mall while ordering that delicious beef carpachio.
8 Taverna Opa
Fun times, good food, that basically sums it up. Where else can you hop on the table and celebrate greek style yelling Opa! My favorite dish there is the surf and turf. Good luck hearing the other person though, the music is loud and it's not a place to have a quiet dinner. This place is made to party!
Fresh sushi and great steaks with an extensive wine list to complement your diner. This place was voted the best sushi place in Orlando. Located in Dr Philips you won't regret this sushi restaurant.
10 Christini's Ristorante Italiano
When I was 17 I actually worked at Christini's as a bus boy. I was able to see and learn what it took to run a fine dining restaurant. It is truly amazing the care and detail Christini's staff and chefs take on preparing their food. Of all the places I have been, their italian dishes are really the best.
