Orlando Top Ten
1 Disney Parks
No one can really compare. I mean it's Disney right? With Parks such as Magic Kingdom for the family, Epcot for the adults, Animal Kingdom for the animal lovers and Disney's Hollywood Studio for the movie freaks there is really no comparison. Personally what I enjoy about these parks are the seasonal events they have. Epcot's food and wine festival is just awesome. And being a Star Wars fan, Star Wars weekend at Hollywood Studio is pretty neat. I'll cover these events in more detail on another post.
2 Universal Parks
Universal has two parks. Universal Island of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Island of Adventure is more of a thrill ride park. Their Marvel and Harry Potter areas are amazing, and a must for anyone who goes there. Personally, i think the Park was built a little narrow in space compared to Universal Studios Florida. I'll talk about that on a later post.
3 Sea World
It is truly amazing what these animals are able to do. Sea World is strong due to it's shows. Each one has great entertainment value, and i doubt anyone visiting Orlando will skip this park.
Some people might disagree with me, but honestly i enjoy Aquatica, it's relaxing, fun, great for the family. I don't need death defying water rides. Having two wave pools helps so it doesn't get very crowded. All in all worth the visit.
5 Downtown Disney
I was between Downtown Disney or Universal City Walk. And to be honest, they're both equal. One is more family oriented even though that is rumored to change, and the other has a better night life. Downtown Disney is awesome. They have Circus du Solei, Lego land, Disney Quest, AMC Dine in theater, House of Blues and many cool shops and restaurants.
6 Universal Citywalk
Citywalk has a great night life. The piano bar is a lot of fun. A great place to stop by and sing old songs. They also have a great Kareoke bar, with backup singers. You will definetly need a few drink to get up there or not. The best IMAX theater with the best sound system is here. The AMC theater IMAX is really in my opinion the best place to experience a movie as far as technology. However, as far as a new first class experience the new Downtown Disney AMC Dine in Theater is king right now.
Orlando is great for shopping. Here are the areas. Prime Outlets, Premium Outlets, Pointe Orlando, Florida Mall and Millenia Mall. Look these up and make sure you visit them. Especially the Outlets, where you will find great deals for designer stuff.
8 Amyway Arena
The Amway Arena is beautiful. It is a good a idea to always check the shows that are going on there. Concerts, Circuses and many shows go through there. Also, it is a great opportunity to experience the Orlando Magic where every seat in the Arena is a good seat.
9 Kennedy Space Center
Even though it's not in Orlando, make plans to visit Kennedy Space Center. Tour includes rides, movies, space history and The Astronaut Hall of Fame.
10 Busch Gardens
Another place that is not in Orlando but worth taking the trip to Tampa to visit. Rides, animals, Busch Gardens is a fun and thrilling place that is the ultimate family place to visit.
